Some Current Favorites

It has been over six months since I shared a “current favorites” post! I slacked super hard with reading in February, so I decided instead of posting a reading update I’d share some of my current fav products/items with you! If you’re loving any specific items lately, share them with me in the comments!

Passion Planner.

I first heard of Passion Planner many years ago! I actually featured it on one of my first planner round-up posts (lol wow TBT) and I really liked it then! They’ve been on my radar since then because they are a woman-owned company and I love their message. I bought Ryan and Passion Planner a few years ago (sadly, he didn’t use it) when he was trying to get into paper planning.

I was at a loss with what planner to use and, after trying two others this school year, the Passion Planner kept sticking in my mind. I’m so glad I ended up getting it for the beginning of 2020. It’s really functional, portable, and has so many awesome features! I’m only two full months into using it, obviously, but it has been great so far. There are pages in the back that I can use to track books and journal! I’m hoping to get more into that when the summer hits so stay tuned for some posts/Instagrams about it!

Prepping my lunches.

This one is a little lame, but I’ve been really into meal prepping my lunches the last month or so. I used to bring a peanut butter sandwich as my lunch every single day. No joke. I realized that’s probably not the best lunch to be eating every day and it wasn’t keeping me full until dinner so I’d pack tons of snacks to eat throughout the day. No bueno. So I started meal prepping! I have been making chicken with noodles or rice and trying to add broccoli in when I can (I hate veggies but this week I added them into my lunches!) I already have noticed I have more energy towards the end of the day and I’m not as hungry when I get home.

I’m always down to hear quick and easy meal prep/lunch ideas so let me know if you have any go-to recipes in the comments!

These Target shoes.

I literally have worn these sneakers to work every. single. day. since it got cold! They are an amazing go-to and I can’t wait to get more colors for the spring! They held up really well despite me wearing them daily for 5+ months. I definitely got my $30 worth out of these.

I also bought these block heeled sandals to wear to a baby shower last weekend and I LOVE them. I am not a heels girl. I am clumsy as hell wearing heels and I never venture higher than 2.5 inches… EVER. These are super comfortable and they have more of a block heel so I didn’t feel like I was teetering around while walking in them. They are also very trendy right now and would be great to have on hand to wear with dresses in the spring/summer! Lots of colors available but I have the taupe.

Drunk Elephant.

I posted about DE products in August, and I just wanted to report that I’m still using them and loving them! I use the full size cleanser and the mini-kits (their daytime and nighttime serums) which actually last me a few months at a time. It’s a lot easier price-wise than buying full sets of everything! And then I use the full size moisturizer too, of course. My skin has never looked better honestly. I also splurged around Christmas time and bought the Baby Facial mask. I’ve only used it twice (I’m really bad at getting into a routine with it) but my face was SO soft afterwards. I need to start using it more consistently to see if there are any drastic results!

Prose shampoo.

I’ll be honest when I say that I thought these personalized shampoo companies were a scam. However, I saw Krista from Covering the Bases rant and rave about Prose so I decided to give it a shot. After taking the hair quiz, I was sent my custom formula for shampoo and a hair mask. I also got the dry shampoo because #oily. Three months into using it, and I’m still washing my hair every day but I also haven’t committed to using the hair mask at the proper frequency (they recommend once a week).

So, I just ordered another bottle of the shampoo (my first order was at the end of November and that tiny bottle has lasted until now!) and I’m going to commit to using the hair mask more frequently this time around to see if there are any major changes! I did notice that my hair has a bit more volume, is softer, smells delicious, and I’m shedding less. I also just majorly cut my hair around the time that I ordered Prose so it could be a combination of those two things.

I’m cautiously optimistic about this experience… I’ll let you know if anything life changing with my hair happens in the next few months! I’d LOVE to not have to wash my hair every morning because it has stopped turning into a greasy mess! Comment below with your email or send me an Instagram DM if you want a custom link for $10 off!

Fabletics.

In this post, I mentioned how Fabletics leggings are the only leggings I’ll wear to spin. Well, it’s still true! They are the most comfortable and supportive leggings I own. I’ve also recently become obsessed with their sports bras, like this bright neon yellow one I’m wearing in this pic! It’s so fun to wear during spin when the black lights are on. I light up like a glowstick, haha.

My favorite Fabletics leggings are the PowerHold high waisted 7/8 leggings! I wear them to spin during every class and they actually stay up when I ride and I don’t have to constantly pull them up. They’re also really comfy and they come in tons of different colors. And they’re like, actually affordable? When you sign up for Fabletics you get two pairs for $24. And then if you don’t want to buy anything else from Fabletics again you don’t have to. Just skip every month or cancel your subscription. But they do have pretty kickass workout clothes!
