Some Current Favorites (+ a Playlist)

It has been over a YEAR since I wrote a “current favorites” post. I have been keeping a note in my phone of all the different products and things I’ve been into lately so I’m really happy to finally get to share everything with you!

Like my post last year, I’m also including a playlist because I love making them! If you’re into my music taste, follow my “current favs” and “workout” playlists on Spotify too! Both of those playlists get updated all the time and can be a great go-to source for some new music 😉

Drunk Elephant.

Okkkkkkk I know, I know. DE is notoriously expensive. But hear me out. I got a free sample of their Protini moisturizer and their cleanser for my birthday at Sephora. I used the free samples for over a month and saw an actual improvement in my skin. So I decided to go with full sizes of the moisturizer and cleanser and get the trial kits of their serums (they sell 2-packs of their daytime and nighttime serums!) Those lasted ~3 months and I was still really happy with my skin.

Earlier last month, I switched up my moisturizer to LaLa Retro (the purple one) because it was a little cheaper and I wanted to try it. I also got more sample sizes of their daytime and nighttime serums. These little guys lasted THREE MONTHS. And each pack is around $20 each. So it’s not too $$$! If it’s something you want to try, I’d def suggest going with the samples before getting full sizes because it’s an investment.

Natural deodorant.

A few months ago on my IG story, I told y’all that I had tried both Schmidt’s and Native natural deodorants. I decided to go with Native for the long term and I still really like it! Keep in mind that it’s a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. SO you will sweat regardless. But I don’t mind it and it truly hasn’t been bad at all even through this summer!

Little Words Project.

When I discovered Little Words Project, I was immediately hooked. The bracelets are adorable, the message is incredible, and the girls behind it are amazing. I got this bracelet during one of their customization days and I wear it almost every day. I chose the word “capable” because I wanted something to remind me throughout my first year as a speech pathologist. I know I’m going to have lots of moments of doubt, but hopefully looking down at my wrist will serve as a reminder that I am CAPABLE of doing anything!

I also got my BFF a bracelet that says “believe” for her birthday. She’s in PT school, so I wanted her to remember that I believed in her and that she should believe in herself! She also wears hers all the time, too. They make great gifts!

Opal House candles.

My spin studio had been using this candle that smelled absolutely heavenly. When I realized it was an Opal House candle, I immediately went to Target to purchase it. The one they use is Lemon Zest & Berry but I’ve also tried the Salted Citrus Bellini and they both smell incredible!

Supergoop unseen sunscreen.

supergoop sunscreen

This was a new purchase for me this summer! I have really fair skin that freaks out with any sun exposure. So I knew I needed to invest in a good sunscreen that a) worked and b) didn’t break me out. This stuff is awesome! I’ve worn it under my makeup every day this summer and I have yet to get sunburn on my face… even when riding with the top off in the Jeep!

Zoi Brand athleisure.

zoi brand

I guess I’m a little bit biased because the owner of Zoi Brand is a friend and barre instructor at my studio! But seriously her pieces are adorable and I love wearing them! The cropped tanks I got will be perfect for fall with leggings and a jean jacket. If you’re in need of some athleisure I def suggest checking out her website and Instagram and supporting a small business!

Egg chair.

This pic BLEW UP on Instagram and I’m pretty proud of it! I had been wanting this egg chair from Target for YEARS and, finally, it went on sale and Ryan agreed that we could get it. The original plan was for it to be outside in the little grassy area outside our apartment, but they did renovations and ended up putting landscaping everywhere. Bye bye grassy area. So we had a change of plans and moved some things around and now it fits perfectly in my “office”. It’s the BEST reading chair and I highly recommend it! The fairy lights and blanket are also from Target… they were the perfect touch to make it feel cozy!

Saalt cup.

Saalt changed my life. I talked about them on my Instagram back in February and to this day I am still using it every time I get my period. It has been an absolute game changer! I know I need to write a post about my experience, so stay tuned for that soon. I first found Saalt because I took this quiz on Put A Cup in It. It gave me recommendations of the best menstrual cups for me based on my lifestyle and body. I ended up going with Saalt because I loved the brand and their message the most.

If you want more, check my IG highlights, I still have one called “Saalt”. It will give you lots of videos and explanations. And I promise I’ll write that blog post. But Saalt is sold at Target now (amazing) so it’s super accessible! One of my friends even bought it there after my rave reviews. So obviously I had to include it in this post!

Plum Paper planners.

If you’ve been following me for a while you probably know about my planner obsession. I recently bought a new planner from Plum Paper to use during the school year for my first job as a speech-language pathologist! I’m working in an elementary school so I needed something that went from August-July. I ended up getting the hourly layout in the biggest planner size they offer which is 8.5×11. If you’re interested in getting your own Plum Paper planner shoot me a DM on Instagram with your email address and I’ll send you a coupon for 10% off your very first order with them!

Time for a playlist!

Hope you enjoy this quick playlist I put together! Feel free to follow it and/or me on Spotify!
