Hello from New York! I’ve officially made the move up to live with Ryan in upstate New York for the remainder of the summer and I couldn’t be more excited to start camp and have some fun. For those of you who have been around these parts for a while, you might remember last year’s bucket list. Last summer, Ryan and I lived in Pittsburgh and I wanted to create a bucket list for us to make sure we did some cool things while we were in the area for such a long time. I’m proud to say that we nearly accomplished everything on that list. It was so much fun to document each bucket list item that I’ve decided to do round two this year! Ryan and I are living in Fishkill which is a town that’s about an hour and a half train ride to NYC. While we hope to go there a few times this summer, I really want to do other things in the area as well! If you’re from this part of New York, let me know in the comments if there’s anything I should add to this list! 1. Hit up New York City This one is… View Post

Today I’m excited to be linking up with one of my blogger friends Savannah from Always, S! This linkup showcases posts from bloggers all up the East Cost. We’re sharing our favorite spots in our cities and towns so be sure to check out the posts from other bloggers at the bottom of this page! Philly is my home during the school year and I’ve lived within 40 minutes of it for my entire life. I’ve gone there on weekends and my friends and I love to head into Center City on any given night to explore! I’ve been wanting to share some of my fav Philly spots here on the blog for a while, so I was excited when Savannah’s link up came about! We Temple Owls love to explore and venture into the city. No matter where you are on campus, you’re minutes away from the Broad Street Line, which means you have access to pretty much all the hot spots in town. This list has some cliche places and also some places that you might not have heard of! These spots are obviously not the only places/things to do when you’re in Philly. Philly has a ton of… View Post

I had a totally different post scheduled for today but I just really wanted to talk about my weekend! As I’m sure I’ve said somewhere on the blog before, Ryan travels for his job. Sometimes he has to go somewhere far, and sometimes we get lucky and he’s only a few hours away. Last summer, he was in Pittsburgh and I was #blessed enough to score an amazing internship and stay with him from May-August. This year, he’s living in New York about an hour and a half outside of NYC. Again, I was fortunate enough to find a job working at a great summer camp nearby so Ryan and I won’t have to be so far from each other (yay!). But as I’ve been finishing up classes in Philly these past few weeks, Ryan has been busy working hard for six days a week, 10-12 hours a day. I was lucky to get to see him this past weekend after 2 weeks apart and we definitely had some fun exploring the city! Top (similar) // Sunglasses // Purse Let’s pause and talk about my outfit, shall we? I got this adorable white lace OTS top from H & M for $10! I’m so… View Post

This weekend, Ryan took me to Lake Erie to celebrate the 4th of July! We left on Friday afternoon and took the 2 hour drive up to the lake. It was our first time there and we weren’t really sure what to expect. Once we got there, we checked into our hotel and drove right over to the lake. We spent the majority of our weekend on Presque Isle lounging at the beaches and taking bike rides around the isle. We watched fireworks along the bay to end the night on July 4th and the next day we took a boat tour to get one last look around Lake Erie and Presque Isle. If nothing else, the weekend taught us how much we want a boat of our own one day! Take a look at some pictures from our weekend! I’m excited to have crossed off another item on my Pittsburgh bucket list. On our way up to Lake Erie! Relaxing in the hotel before heading to the lake! Our first glimpse at Lake Erie! Me standing in front of my first Great Lake! Bike riding around Presque Isle was so much fun! The water was too cold for me but it… View Post

This summer, I have an internship in Pittsburgh. I have until mid-August to do some cool things here and I figured I’d let you know what my list consists of. For the things we’ve already done, I’ve added some pictures and a blurb about our time at the place/event. If you live in Pittsburgh or know of some other cool things to do while I’m here, tell me! I’m very open to expanding this list. 1. Visit the Andy Warhol Museum We went to the museum on Sunday, June 28th. We each got in for the student price (we’ve been using our Temple ID’s everywhere around here!) and they told us to start on the 7th floor and work our way down. The top floor was all about Warhol’s childhood and schooling and each level we went down was a different decade. I learned a lot of things about him that I hadn’t known before. The art was really cool although I am the farthest thing from an art critic! It took us about an hour to get through the whole museum. Here’s a picture of me standing in the hallway entrance because you aren’t allowed to take pictures inside… View Post
