My Summer TBR List

Summer TBR 2017

I’ve been buying and receiving so many books recently! Since I have now graduated and it’s officially summer, I’m really excited to be able to read more (hopefully). However, I just landed a summer job working 60 hours every week so who knows if I’ll really have that much time to get through my list! If you follow me on Goodreads, these books might look and sound familiar to you but this is the official list of books I hope to get through this summer. My goal for this year is 25 books total and right now I’m at 8. I was quite a few short of my goal last year but I’m on track to make it now! I don’t know if I’ll have any time to read while I’m in grad school so I’m hoping to get a lot of reading done these next few months so I can make it to 25! Here’s what I have on my summer TBR list…

Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane

I’m currently reading this one! I received it as my Book of the Month in my BOTM box. If you’re curious what that is it’s a monthly book subscription box. They send you a new book every month but YOU get to pick the one you want to read! And they have tons of books on their site for only $9.99 each. Sooo cheap for hardcovers! I have a link you can sign up through to get your first month for $1 and I’ll get a free book #holla [find on Goodreads]

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Y’all already know I’m obsessed with TJR. Since I read One True Loves last summer I’ve been a huge fan! This is her latest release that I’m lucky enough to have received an ARC of. Its pub date is June 13th so you don’t have too much longer to wait! This one is next up on my list, I can’t wait to read it. [find on Goodreads]

Into the Water by Paula Hawkins

This is the same author of The Girl on the Train! I’m excited to see what her second book has in store. [find on Goodreads]

Six Stories by Matt Wesolowski

This book is constructed like a series of podcasts and if you love Serial or any other true crime shows/podcasts, it has been said that you’ll love it! I’m super super excited to read this one it seems like it’ll be something totally new and different! [find on Goodreads]

The Child by Fiona Barton

Another mystery/thriller of course! Received this as an ARC as well that I’m excited to dive into. [find on Goodreads]

I Found You by Lisa Jewell

And that’s all I’ve got for ya at the moment! I’m only listing 6 books here because hopefully I’ll have more to add each month through the BOTM box. What are you planning to read this summer? Follow along with what I’m reading on Goodreads!

I really need to read more! I’m a horrible reader but have started to make a list of books to read. I want to read at least 10 books this year.

So I recently read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and for one it re-ignited my love for books so I’ll likely try to read most of this list (The TJR one sounds super interesting!). But no, this book was incredible and I highly suggest it if you haven’t already!

Since I’m a teacher, I don’t have a ton of time to read during the school year so during the summer it’s a free for all with the books and I’m always looking for suggestions. I’m going to add a couple of these to my reading list!
