5 Years

valentine's day flowers

On January 13th, Ryan and I celebrated our 5 year dating anniversary. I can hardly believe it has been that long but at the same time I feel like I’ve been dating him my whole life. Since I didn’t get a chance to write a post for our anniversary, I decided to write one today for Valentine’s Day. I really cannot put into words how much I treasure my friendship and relationship with Ryan. Since the day I met him, he has been one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met.

(PS: here’s the story of how we met in my words and in his words!)

Ryan couldn’t come to my senior prom so we went on a dinner date instead! Here’s a picture from that night.

5 years, 260 weeks, 1,826 days, 43,829 hours, 2,629,743 minutes, 157,784,629 seconds.

Ryan: Over the course of our relationship we’ve traveled to 6 different states and 1 country. We’ve been on countless movie dates and you’ve traveled between home and Temple a million times. You’ve taught me so much about myself and have been someone I can rely on for anything and everything. You make me laugh (even though it took me a few years to ever admit you were funny). You introduced me to The Office and you have been my biggest cheerleader. You wrote blog posts for me. You’re always honest and willing to help. You’re the first one to tell me it’s all going to be okay. You always text me good night. You answer the phone when I call. You’re always thinking about what’s best for me and for us. You’re never selfish and you make the best breakfast sandwiches. You make grocery shopping and going to the gym fun. You take me on adventures. You’re the jelly to my peanut butter, the Jim to my Pam, the sun, the moon, and all my stars. I know this is corny but it’s Valentine’s Day. I love you so much, here’s to five more years of happiness and love!

Who’s your Valentine this year? What are you planning to do to celebrate?
