My Nightly Routine with BioClarity

BioClarity Nightly Routine

This is a sponsored post in partnership with BioClarity and Her Campus Media. All words and opinions are my own.

I’ve had the same nightly routine since I was in middle school. No joke. It changes around slightly, but for the most part I do the same few things every night without fail. It’s important to stick to a good routine, it helps you build healthy habits and get yourself into the right mindset for the next day’s challenges. Today I’m going to share with you my nightly routine and how it has changed just a little since I started using BioClarity.

Eat dinner.

Ryan and I just got back from a 3 week vacation. We did a lot of walking around and exploring but we also did a ton of eating. I decided that once we got back it was time for me to buckle down and start eating healthier again. My typical dinner is usually a chicken breast with some brown rice. Occasionally I’ll treat myself by making ground turkey tacos but for the most part, I eat close to the same thing every night when I’m at school which can sometimes get boring but at least it’s easy!

Homework, Netflix, and chatting.

After dinner I’ll usually sit down with my roommates and we’ll watch Netflix together and chat about our days. I think it’s so important to talk about your day with whoever is around. Whether it’s a roommate, your mom, or your significant other, it’s always good to chat about the good and bad things that might have happened to you throughout the day.

I’m guilty of keeping a lot of my thoughts inside throughout the day but once I’m home I’m venting it all out to my boyfriend or to my roommates. If I’ve had a crazy day I’ll usually have some homework to get done. I’ll typically sit in my room at my desk if it’s something super important I need to focus on but if it’s something easy I’ll sit out on the couch with the girls and work on it while Netflix plays!

Read and journal.

I’ve been trying hard to incorporate reading and journaling into my nightly routine more frequently. I love reading in bed right before I go to sleep. It prevents me from scrolling on my phone too much and I fall asleep much easier! I also have been attempting to journal but it’s not going well. Once I figure out a successful way for me to do that I’ll let you know!

Use BioClarity.

Once it starts getting late (usually around 10PM) I’ll grab my towel and head into the bathroom. I always shower in the morning (#greasyhairprobs) but I always make sure to wash my face every night.

BioClarity

I’ve been using BioClarity for about a month and I really like it! There are 3 steps and each product is filled with naturally derived ingredients. Step 1 is the cleanser, step 2 is the treatment, and step 3 is the restore gel. I’ve tried other 3-step programs before but they left my face super dry and sad. BioClarity is formulated with powerful plant extracts like cucumber, green tea, chamomile, oat kernel, and licorice root. This means no weird, harsh chemicals!

Like I said, I’ve been using this for a month and my face is not any drier than normal. Actually, I’d even go so far as to say it is LESS dry than normal which is freakin’ awesome. My skin is always super oily at the end of the day and then super dry in the morning and I really think this product has helped keep my skin more tame.

BioClarity Step 2

BioClarity Step 2

Rather than use benzoyl peroxide to target breakouts (which is known to cause redness, dryness, and irritation), BioClarity combines the power of prescription-grade salicylic acid and regenerative and restorative Floralux – a new and unique naturally-derived ingredient from chlorophyll (the green stuff in plants). The third step (Floralux) is a green liquid that’s really cool. I love smearing it on my face like warrior paint and then rubbing it in until it’s gone!

BioClarity Step 3

BioClarity Step 3

It’s not confirmed, but I’m 99% sure I have rosacea on my cheeks. I’m planning to go to the dermatologist soon but that’s beside the point. Although BioClarity didn’t get rid of ALL my redness, it has definitely helped and I can see the difference. My cheeks are so much easier to cover up with makeup than they were before.

Of course, when I was taking photos for this post I got a nasty zit on my chin but what are ya gonna do? I skipped a night a few days ago (accidentally!) so I’m blaming it on that. This is the first breakout I’ve had since switching to BioClarity. If you’re trying to be more healthy in the new year, why not change up your skincare routine too? BioClarity is a naturally better solution that will fit right into your health-conscious lifestyle and leave you feeling confident to rock those no-makeup days.

BioClarity costs $29.95 /month with special initial promotions BUT I’m hosting a giveaway on my Instagram right now for a free month trial! If you’re impatient (girl, same) and you want to try it yourself ASAP you can get 50% off with my code KAYLABLOGS!

Thanks for sharing this brand! As someone who has very acne-prone skin, I must try this!

I think having a routine in the evening (and the morning) is key to relieving stress and setting intentions for the day. Journaling before bed really helps me feel grateful and abundant no matter what happened that day!

I love trying new skincare products, I like treating myself to at home spa nights and pampering myself in a bubble bath. I’ve been using bioclarity and I like it!

I’ve formed a ‘nighttime routine’ as well, and I find that it’s the best way to end my day…especially when you get to use fun skincare products before bedtime to ensure the prettiest, freshest face! x, nicole // http://www.nicoleeigh.com

I just started using the Proactiv+ three-step program with some of the add-ins and it has seemed to dry my skin out a bit but I am normally drier during these months anyways so I’m not worried. I think I just need to use more moisturizer. This is a really interesting product line! If I don’t see some more results with the Proactiv+ I might switch to trying this out! Love that it’s so natural!

I probably shouldn’t be admitting this, but I am 27 and have no nightly beauty routine. LOL Probably about time to establish one – before it’s too late, right?
