Today I have a new type of post coming to ya! I hinted about it on my Instagram yesterday and I’m excited to reveal what I was talking about. I had the idea to start this series about halfway through November last year, so I decided to save it for this year. I’m surprised I even remembered that I had this idea in the works but I’m glad I did! I was also inspired to do this this year byΒ the Day Designer’s Daily Gratitude Challenge.
Here’s how this is going to work. Every Thursday, I’m going to talk about some things I am thankful for. The series will end on Thanksgiving AND I plan to make “Thankful Thursday” a link up on Thanksgiving so if you’d like to participate, be sure to let me know in the comments and I’ll set it up.
I want to preface this by saying that I’m not ranking these things in order of importance. I also know that I have a LOT to be thankful for and I can’t possibly list everything in just 3 blog posts. I have a great life; I am truly blessed and I know it. Now, let’s get started with this week’s Thankful Thursday!
1. A college education
2. Friends & family I can count on
3. A boyfriend who supports me and loves me
4. Finding a passion and creative outlet through blogging
5. Netflix binges with my roommates
6. Fall scented candles
7. Cozy socks
8. Pens that write well
9. Early, productive mornings
10. Hot chocolate in a pretty mug
11. Coming home to freshly baked cookies
12. Funny professors
13. That “I just nailed that test/quiz/paper” feeling
14. Lazy Sundays
15. Ice water
16. That feeling you get when you try on pants and they fit perfectly
17. The ability to travel and explore new places
18. The smell of new books
19. Changing leaves
20. My puppy
Now, I challenge you to write some things you’re thankful for in the comments or write your own post! We have a lot to be thankful for, it’s time we recognized that!
OMG this is hilarous, I just started a Thankful Thursday series on my blog today too! Lol I totally agree that the feeling you get when you try on pants and they fit perfectly is the best!

I’ll have to join in next Thursday π Coming home to freshly baked cookies sounds like literally the best thing right now! And I love that you put “pens that write well”…basically speaking to my soul right there.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to carry being thankful through out the year.
I love this idea for a blog post & I will definitely be participating in your link up on Thanksgiving day! I am also incredibly thankful for fuzzy socks π In all seriousness, I think it’s really important for everyone to reflect on the good things in their lives and see just how much we all have to be thankful for π
So, so thankful for hot chocolate π
I love the idea of this post! Definitely may do it for Thanksgiving myself π

I love taking the time to be grateful for what I have! I’m grateful for a very supportive husband who lets me stay at home and work on my blog, for my sweet and happy pup and for candles that smell like Christmas Trees!
I am thankful for my family and that I have a support system. I am also grateful to have food & shelter.
Wow this is definitely a great post to make. Definitely puts things in perspective on those days when you feel like you don’t have much to be grateful for! I’d love to join a link-up! The “I just nailed that test” feeling is priceless isn’t it? Great post!

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK as I am sure you all know, but it is still so important to take time to be thankful! I am so thankful for the people in my life and the opportunities I have been given <3 I would love to join in a link-up (would also help for me to feel part of the holiday π )

You have so much to be thankful for!! I love this post! I’m thankful for the food on my plate, clothes on my back, roof over my head, and having a job in my field that pays me every month, especially in these tough financial times our world is in.. even when I hate the job the most!
