Since I’m now a junior in college, I think I’ve pretty much got the first day of school down pat. I decided to share with you all a list of what I believe to be THE list of first day of class essentials. If you have these things, I can assure you that you will not have the worst first day.
A cute outfit that makes you feel confident
This is at the top of the list for obvious reasons. Whenever I’m wearing a cute outfit it instantly makes my day 100,000 times better. Here’s me in my cute outfit on the first day of class:
Hand sanitizer, bandaids, a small mirror, and feminine products
Hand sanitizer because my hands always feel gross after touching desks all day, bandaids just in case you didn’t break in your shoes well enough (#blistergang), a small mirror to check that makeup and hair, and feminine products because it’s just always good to be prepared.
Shick disposable razors because freshly shaved legs are a must!
Here’s another easy way to boost your confidence on the first day. I made sure my legs were silky smooth by using Schick Quattro disposable razors. It was nice looking down at my legs during class and not feeling self conscious because they were stubbly! I love how smoothly the Schick Quattro disposable razors work, shaving went so quickly in the morning because of it! I made sure to get them at Walmart while I was buying the rest of my school supplies!
A nice pen or pencil to jot down important notes from your professors
Bonus points if it’s in an easily accessible place! My personal preference are the Pilot G-2 pens!
Sunglasses
If you have sensitive eyes like me, forgetting your sunglasses on the first day could easily turn your day sour.
Phone charger
How are you supposed to meet up with the friends you haven’t seen all summer if your phone is dead?
Laptop + charger
Especially if you have long breaks between classes! I pulled mine out today and got some work done while I was waiting for my next class to start.
Water bottle
It’s hot outside. I’m always thirsty after my walks to class! Here’s my favorite water bottle:
Snacks
I always like to keep a few granola bars in my backpack just in case I get hungry and need to much on something quick. I also find that the first week or two are really awkward when you’re trying to figure out your meal schedule (I’m not alone in this, right?)
Your planner, notebooks, and binders!
Well you are going to class, right?
Would you add anything else to this list?
